GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF THE SCHOOL
St. Xavier’s School, Hazaribag Is A Chistian Minority School Established By The Local Unit Of The Society Of Jesus, An International Organisationof Cristian Educators Commonly Known As Jesuits. The School Is Owned And Run By Hazaribag Jesuit Education Society, A Charitable Organization Registered Under The Society Registration Act XXI Of 1860. The Society Constitutes The Governing Body Of The School. A Manging Committee, On Which The Teachers And The Parents Are Also Represented, Looks After The Management Of The School. The Responsibity Of The Day To Day Running Of The School Is Vested In The Principal Aided By Staff.
St. Xavier’s Is A Co-Educational Day School. It Opened On 26th January, 1952. It Is Affiliated To The Central Board Of Secondary Education (CBSE) , New Delhi. There Are Thirteen Yearsof Schooling, From The Preparatory Class To Class XII.
St. Xavier’s , Being A Minority Unaided Private Institution, Is Dependent On The Fees Collected From The Students For Meeting Its Financial Obligations. Hence The School Fees Have To Be Increased Periodically To Keep Up With Rising Costs And Salaries.
